This is your opportunity to watch wild wolves with the experts in Yellowstone’s premier wildlife viewing area. Your hosts are Nathan Varley, a native of Yellowstone, whose doctoral research on wolves and elk has illuminated fascinating aspects of ecology in the nation’s first national park, and Linda Thurston, whose extensive experience with wolf research and conservation has been heralded as innovative and cutting-edge in its successes.
You will stay in the heart of wolf country, the famous Lamar Valley, among its vast herds of bison and elk and the wolf packs that abound. Extensive observation time with wolves takes place in the morning and evening, while snowshoe excursions follow in the afternoon.
Your accommodations will be in rustic but comfortable private cabins at the historic Buffalo Ranch. Gourmet meals will be served by a caterer each day, and we will be joined by special guest experts (TBA). Past guests at the retreat have included wolf biologist Dr. Douglas Smith and emmy award-winning cinematographer Bob Landis.

Cost ($1590/person/double occupancy; $200 single supplement) includes transportation to/from Bozeman, MT, airport (BZN), all transportation, food, lodging, guiding, snowshoes, and presentations. A $500 deposit is due at time of booking, remainder due at least 60 days prior to the trip.
